Live Masterclasses for Companies in Project Business
In our competence seminars, we have summarized the main topics in a compact way. Competence seminars convey basic knowledge from the seminar modules and are essentially conceived as lectures in which knowledge is conveyed in a concentrated manner.
Live Masterclasses for Companies in Project Business
Contracts, changes, disruptions and claims are decisive success factors in complex projects. Companies that do not manage these issues in a structured way risk unnecessary costs, schedule problems and conflicts with clients or suppliers.
The Live Masterclasses of the Contract Academy provide your project teams with the knowledge they need to assess contract and claim situations professionally, prepare claims in a transparent and well-structured manner and conduct negotiations with greater confidence.
Whether as a compact individual module or as a consecutive qualification path: we support your company in building a shared understanding of professional Contract & Claim Management.
Who Are the Live Masterclasses Designed For?
The seminars are designed for companies with demanding project business, particularly in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, infrastructure, energy, engineering and industrial supply projects.
The programs are particularly suitable for:
- Project leaders and project managers
- Contract managers and claim managers
- Technical project leads
- Commercial project leads
- Procurement, sales and commercial management
- Executives responsible for project risks and result quality
Practical Knowledge for Employees with Project Responsibility
The Contract Academy seminars focus on employees with project responsibility and introduce them to the methods, practices and theory of Contract & Claim Management.
Over the years, we have continuously developed the content of our competence seminars based on experience and feedback from seminar participants. The result is a seminar concept that makes topics which can sometimes be dry or initially unclear understandable, practical and directly applicable in day-to-day work.
We do not only teach the theoretical foundations. We also provide guidance, tools and strategies. This enables participants to develop their own solutions and respond appropriately to different situations and cases in their daily work from a Contract Management perspective.
As a standard offering, we provide the following three seminar modules.
Three Seminar Modules — Bookable Individually or Combinable as a Qualification Path
K1 — Contract & Claim Management
Fundamentals, contract structure, risk management, change management, contract administration and claim strategies.
The K1 seminar provides an overview of all relevant aspects — from contract drafting and change management to the preparation of claims and change orders.
K2 — Evaluating and Preparing Claims
Professional assessment and presentation of additional costs, delays, change orders and claims.
The seminar covers, among other topics, direct and indirect costs, the total cost method, personnel expenses, overheads and site-related costs.
K3 — Negotiating Claims
Negotiation of claims based on the PRO® concept, with a focus on securing entitlements, negotiation phases, negotiation techniques and negotiation psychology.
The content is conveyed in a compact, systematic and application-oriented way — with direct relevance to typical contract, change and claim situations in day-to-day project work.
How Is a Competence Seminar Structured?
Speakers
The lecturers are proven specialists with many years of experience in mechanical and plant engineering. We do not focus only on theoretical foundations. Practical relevance is essential so that participants can apply their new knowledge immediately within their company.
Method
In competence seminars, knowledge is conveyed in the form of lectures. The lectures are based on presentations that have been continuously optimized over many years.
Materials
Participants receive the presentation slides as working materials so they can document their own notes during the lectures.
Optimal Number of Participants
For optimal learning success, we recommend limiting the number of participants to a maximum of 20. Based on our experience, this group size enables focused and effective work.
Language
Our seminars are generally held in German. In-house seminars can be booked in both English and German.
